Face Cards: The face cards are the Kings, Queens or Jacks.
Face Down: A dealing style in which the first card is placed face up and the second face down.
Face Up: A dealing style in which both cards are placed face up.
Fade: To fade in chemin de fer, is to cover the bank’s entire bet.
Feng Shui: An ancient Chinese practice of placement and arrangement of living space so as to achieve harmony with the environment. For many Chinese the position of a particular machine or the layout of the casino amongst other things can determine if a player will gamble at all, or if they choose to gamble and fortune doesn't come his/her way will blame the bad Feng Shui of the premises as the reason for them not winning.
Field: In the game of keno refers to a group of marked numbers that a player has not circled.
First Base: First seat to the dealer's left and is also the first player to receive cards as the dealer deal them.
Five Number Bet: In the game of roulette this bet can only be made on the American Wheel and is a wager that the numbers 0, 00, 1, 2 or 3 will come up next. The worst player odds in the game.
Five Reel Slots: Generally a lower player advantage than 3-Reel machines as the odds of a winning combination occurring is lower with more reels, however all payouts are determined by the RNG and the preset (payout percentage) for that machine. Payouts are usually more than those offered on 3-Reel machines.
Flat Bet: To 'flat bet' is an expression used to describe a players betting style that doesn't vary during the playing session, ie: to bet the same amount the entire time.
Flat Top: A term for a video poker machine that does not have a progressive jackpot, meaning that the jackpot is a fixed amount.
Floorman: A casino employee who supervises a section of the pit.
Flush: A hand containing five cards in the same suit, such as 6, 7, 10, J, K of Hearts.
Fold: In the game of poker, to fold is to discard one's hand and forfeit interest in the current pot.
Foreign-Chip: A chip that is from another casino, a casino may and may not honor them.
Forward Games: Forward games are future keno games bet on in advance.
Four Of A Kind: A combination of four of the same cards such as four 10's or four Jacks.
Free Game: When playing slots, some slot machines offer free games as a bonus, enables the player to re-spin the reels the designated amount of times of the bonus free games.
Free Odds Bet: In the game of craps, a bet made after the point has been established, on either the pass line, don't pass line, come and don't come wagers which is paid at true odds, ie: there is no house advantage.
Full House: A hand that has three cards of one denomination and two cards of another such as K K K 9 9 or A A Q Q Q.
Full Pay: Refers to the payback percentage or payoff schedule offered on a particular game, typically near the 99.5% mark. (strategy dependant).
