Deal: The deal button simulates the action of a dealer and distributes cards to the player’s hand, in the case of video poker, delivered to the screen.

Dealer: The dealer is a casino employee that handles all bets and transactions on behalf of the player, also know as a croupier.

Deck: A standard deck of 52 playing cards used in blackjack, as with the game of poker.

Deck Stacking: A method in which all the cards that would be favorable to a player are placed at the bottom of the deck so as to remove them from play, this obviously is cheating.

Deuces Wild: A video poker game where deuces are wild cards.

Deux Tableau: In the game of baccarat deux-tableau is a variation of chemin de fer (which is played in European casinos), three hands are dealt to the player. Also referred to as Baccarat En Banque.

Dice: Two cube dies, which are marked on all sides with a number of dots from 1 to 6, when thrown the combination of numbers determines a win or lose outcome at the craps table.

Die: In the game of craps, refers to the singular form of two dice, one cube marked on all sides with number of dots from 1 to 6.

Discard: On any given video poker hand you are able to select which cards you wish to hold by pressing the hold button located under each card, cards not held are considered to be discarded, to confirm this action you then need press deal once again to physically discard those cards.

Discard Tray: A tray located in front of the dealer's area and holds all the cards that have been played or discarded, the "drop box" and the "tip box" are located on either side of the discard tray.

Don't Come Box: The area on the craps table layout where a don't come bet is made.

Don't Come Bet: In the game of craps, a bet against the dice, placed after the come out roll.

Don't Pass Bet: In the game of craps, a bet against the dice, made on the come out roll that the dice will not pass.

Double Down: In the game of blackjack, to double the size of your initial bet, generally only accepted if you have received your first two cards, you can hit one card only.

Double For Less: In the game of blackjack, to increase the size of your initial bet but for less than double the original wager, generally only accepted if you have received your first two cards, you can hit one card only.

Double or Nothing: A bet option (usually a choice between red or black or a card of higher value than the dealers card) offered in most video poker games which allows the player to wager on their winnings yet to be credited on a choice of a random outcome of red or black or a card higher than the dealers card, if the player wins, they double their winnings, if they loose, they loose the winnings yet to be credited to their overall credits.

Double Zero: In the table game roulette, one of 38 numbers on the wheel and can be wagered the same way as numbers 1-36.

Dozen Bet: A wager on twelve sequential numbers on the roulette layout, ie: 1-12, 13-24 and 25-36 (like the column bet, it is an outside bet and pays 2:1).

Draw:

  1. In blackjack, to add a extra card to your current hand, the same as Hit.
  2. In each keno game 20 numbers are drawn, this is referred to as the draw.

Draw Sheet: In the game of keno, available to all players that request it, a draw sheet shows all numbers drawn from the previous game, also referred to as a draw ticket.

Drop Box: A box located under the table where money is dropped after chips are exchanged for players cash.
