Blackjack Game Rules
Blackjack is one of the most widespread popular card games in the world and is considered a classic in Canadian, European, Russian and American casinos. It's popularity some say is a mix of chance and skill.
In Blackjack, you are dealt two cards face up and the dealer is dealt two cards, one face down and one face up. The goal of Blackjack is to get closer to 21 points than the dealer without going over 21 points.
A "Blackjack" is a hand that totals 21 points with two cards. Blackjack automatically wins, unless both you and the dealer receive Blackjack, then you push.
A total of 21 points with three or more cards is not considered Blackjack.
Point Values
Cards 2 through 10 = face value
Face Cards = 10 points.
Aces = 1 point or 11 points, whichever makes a better hand.
Example: 6 + Ace = 7 points or 17 points.
How To Play Blackjack
- The playerplaces a wager on the table layout.
- The dealerdeals two cards facing upwards to the playerand one card to the dealer face up.
- The dealer draws a second card and places it face down.
- The player is asked if they would like another card(also known as a hit)or if they wish to stand.
- The player may request as many hits as they like until the total value of their cards reaches 21 or they bust.
- If the player busts, the casino (house) wins.
